The James Madison University Libraries & Educational Technologies present a yearlong exhibit of period clothing worn during the 300th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death in 1916. Come see photographs and ephemera from the two day town and gown celebration that included a mile long parade, and an outdoor pageant, and Shakespearean costumes from the Federal Theatre Project c. 1935-1939.
The exhibit will begin on March 14th and will be displayed in the historic west wing of Carrier Library on the James Madison University (JMU) bluestone campus through February 2018. The exhibit is free and open to the public during library business hours. For more information, visit the official exhibit posting or contact contact Julia Merkel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
